Bula and greetings from Fiji Island Tours

Welcome to this edition of our own Fiji Island Tours
"Bula Sheet" , the first for 2005.

As I am sure all of you know, the main focus of our Company is the Fiji Islands and everything associated with the islands, and it is indeed a fascinating and exciting time.

Everyone seems to be doing something, from new and internationally known Hotel Companies to the smallest local groups developing their own intimate Resorts, in wonderful and pristine areas. These appeal equally to the budget conscious and to Fiji veterans seeking a complete change from the more "touristy" areas

Those who have visited Denarau, the home of the 3 Sheratons will have seen great development there, The Sofitel, the Hilton, as well as many private homes being built for visitors worldwide. Else where there is the Intercontinental Development and the Marriot Hotel coming on stream in a few years time.

The smaller Island Resorts are all lifting the standard with new bures, new facilities, and to tie it all together, an upgrade in inter-island transfers. There is hardly any resort not improving their standards in some way. Next time you visit you will surely see a big change. This will be first noticed on arrival, with the new airport in Nadi opened during 2004.

Fiji enjoys a most favoured position. It's location on the world stage, stability on the political front with the government keenly aware now that Tourism is their main source on income and willingness to inject funds into supporting all areas of the industry. Even Savusavu on Vanua Levu is getting a longer runway and the "old shed" at the airstrip is being rebuilt as a " airport terminal "

Following is a brief round up of just some of the Resort and general News.
