Bula Bula Bula!!! Welcome to the Fiji Island Tours Bula Sheet.
BULA Vinaka in this month’s newsletter we would like to take you off the beaten track and help you discover more of Fiji!! Fiji unlike you have ever experienced before!! From breath taking views to smiles that will make your heart skip a beat. We now welcome you to Fiji Island Tours "Adventures in Paradise".
This newsletter will introduce to you Cruises, Resorts and activities that will make you want to return to Fiji time and time again!! We'll present these wonderful Adventure options and design a special page on our web site, www.fijinet.com that will encompass this program. So, it's easy - make the web site your first point of call to see what sort of new Adventure packages we have put together and then speak to one of the team at Fiji Island Tours to either book the package as it is, or tailor it a little differently for your requirements.
Let’s begin our journey through Fiji with Tui Tai Adventure Cruises. Imagine sailing through pristine waters, hiking through deep green rainforests and falling asleep under the southern cross – well let me welcome you onboard the Tui Tai 140 foot three Deck Schooner. The Tui Tai Adventure Cruise is a unique holiday designed for active travelers looking to get off the beaten path and experience Fiji. The expedition combines a truly unique adventure experience and a chance to immerse yourself in the culture of Fiji. During your adventure you will kayak, mountain bike, hike through rainforests and waterfalls, snorkel pristine, vibrant reefs, scuba dive in a number of world-class dive sites, visit local villages and more.
The newly re-designed adventure vessel has state of the art air conditioned Cabins with private bathroom and showers. A large aft deck which provides ample space for lounging, dining and most importantly star gazing!! There is a full bar operated by hostesses and a massage parlor where you can enjoy a massage after your active day.
Onto the essentials – Meals are designed and prepared by your onboard chef who caters for all dietary requirements. Recipes and ingredients are a mishmash of Traditional Fijian and International Cuisine.
Lastly as Tim Neville (Freelance writer for Outside & Mens Journal Magazines) describes your Tui Tai experience in a nut shell "If you're going to spend 15 hours in a plane flying halfway around the globe to a tropical wonderland like Fiji, you better be certain to go to places you could never go, do the things you could never do, and leave with the feeling that there's nothing better you could have ever done anywhere else. Such is a trip on the Tui Tai." Tui Tai honestly takes you beyond your wildest dreams.
Nanuya Island Resort is a small intimate family owned Resort located up the very tip of the Yasawas. When arriving at Nanuya you’re immediately welcomed with a tropical fruit refreshment and a friendly smile from one of the Staff Members on the Island. The Resort only consists of 8 Bures, 4 of which are Tree Top Bures and the other 4 being Beach Bures!! I got the pleasure of staying in a Tree Top Bure which had remarkable views!! One of the many great attractions of staying at Nanuya Island Resort are the Sawa - I -Lau Caves which is honestly the coolest thing to do and a must.
Whilst you are able to go Hiking, Scuba Dive, kayak, visit local villages and the Famous Sawa-I-Lau Caves you can most definitely do absolutely nothing. As there is ample space to Sun bake you will never feel crowded or restricted as the beaches stretch for miles on end.
Lastly one of the highlights at Nanuya is the food – they have got to have the best tasting salads that I have ever had in my entire life!!! The meals are just superb, from Traditional Fijian Cuisine to European and Asian selections!! Vinaka Vakalevu (Thank you very much) to Samu the Chef – you’re the best.
Juliet, our Sales and Marketing Director, writes: As the rain continues to fall here in Sydney I can’t help myself – continually I am logging onto www.fijinet.com and selecting a resort – simply to see the sun shining, the trees gently swaying in the breeze, and some beautiful happy Fijian faces.
I have just returned from the most amazing week in Fiji, with my husband Andrew and two children, Isabel and Hugo – aged 5 ½ and 3 ½ respectively. We returned to an old favourite of ours, a resort that so epitomises Fijian hospitality, Fijian Flavour and Fijian fun, Castaway Island Resort. I have written about Castaway before in this newsletter, specifically for our Fiji for Kids arm, and there is no doubt that for kids, and therefore for families, Castaway is it. It’s hard to nail it down to just one thing, but we truly feel at home at Castaway. Hugo (3 ½ yrs) really is at risk of thinking he is native to Castaway after an annual visit every year of his life. His highlights are too many to mention.
One thing that stood out this visit though was Castaway is not just for kids. We travelled out of school holidays, so there was a different mix of people on the island. There were a few families with children, like ourselves, but mainly the mix was young couples, honeymooners, several groups of families getting together from different parts of the world, and three couples who got married on the island while we were there. Castaway is also a great consideration if you are enjoying retirement – I spoke with several couples, who had spent visits at Castaway with their families, but now they had the pleasure of being on their own and enjoying a great trip, taking in a Blue Lagoon Cruise combined with a week or so at Castaway.
Whilst on the island we did something that we haven’t done before and that was take a half day tour on Teivovo, the fastest speed boat in Fiji. What a day! We checked out the surf breaks, cruised through enormous schools of dolphins, spent some time at Plantation and Malolo Island Resorts, and picnicked at Honeymoon Island – a snorkellers paradise. This is a must – and good value for money.
In 2006 Castaway celebrates its 40th Birthday. With its renovated bures, truly unique atmosphere and unbelievably friendly staff it is an absolute must to visit. If you’ve never been there you will discover a truly wonderful place, if you are returning, you will wonder why you didn’t do so sooner. We are planning our 2007 visit already!!
Last but not least we’d like to farewell one of our consultants Eileen Story!! All the Best in your Future Endeavours and a Big Vinaka Vakalevu for all your hard work during the past year that you spent with Fiji Island Tours and Travelscene Mona Vale!!
Ni Sa Moce & Best Wishes from the Team at Fiji Island Tours. And remember, our other division Travelscene Mona Vale who continue to serve our other clients with their travel arrangements throughout the world for both holiday and corporate travel.
