Bula and greetings from Fiji Island Tours

Bula and welcome to the Fiji Island Tours Bula Sheet

Last month we introduced you to our "Indulge yourself in Fiji" programme and two fabulous resorts that combine to give you an amazingly luxurious holiday in Fiji. The Sheraton Resorts on Denarau Island are continuing, at this time, with their amazing renovations converting Sheraton Royal Denarau into The Westin Resort and Spa Denarau Island; building a 600m2 fresh water swimmable lagoon at Sheraton Villas and the total renovation and refurnishing of the 292 guestrooms at Sheraton Fiji Resort. For full details and updates please chat to us, as we are in constant contact with the resort.

Yasawa Island Resort has just advised us too of a very special offer. Travel in February and recover from the madness of Christmas and you can stay for 5 nights and pay for 4. That's a saving of $1,100 per couple - of course, conditions do apply. And did you know that families are welcome at Yasawa Island Resort for all of January and for the period June 15 to July 16, 2006? So, families and luxury do go together. The island will have organized kids activities so that the adults can still indulge in all that Yasawa Island Resort offers.

Fiji is a hive of activity at the moment and we are so excited about all that's going on there. Whilst there are so many new resorts opening, we are finding that the old favourites are still the old favourites! We're also finding that the old favourites are filling up quickly, so we'd like to introduce you to some of the newer places, and urge you to consider something new. Don't abandon the old favourites, but consider combining some of the old and the new and you'll get a whole new Fiji experience!

Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa is due to open on December 10. The Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa will be a wonderful addition to Denarau. A deluxe five star property which boasts a prime waterfront location and has been designed to ensure larger than standard room sizes for maximum guest comfort and space. And perfect for honeymooners and those really wishing to treat themselves will be the stunning Presidential and executive Suites.

While at Sofitel don't think you just have to sit around relaxing - the resort has teamed up with sport and action expert Adrenalin, who will co-ordinate and design all the resorts' sport, fitness and leisure activities. In addition the resort is working together with the adjacent world-class Denarau Golf and Racquet Club. Sofitel guests will be able to fully utilize the amazing facilities at the club which incorporates an 18 hole championship golf course and ten tennis courts. The perfect way to work up a sweat before cooling off back at the Sofitel Fiji's refreshing lagoon style freeform pool!

Sofitel have just announced that sporting sensation Lote Tuqiri is confirmed to join the esteemed list of guests who will attend the resort's official launch ceremony and dinner event on 17 December, 2005.

Fijian born Lote grew up in the village of Namatakula where he played his first game of rugby on Fijian soil - he is an avid supporter of Fiji, sport and tourism and will return to Fiji for a well deserved break with his family, celebrating the launch of Sofitel Fiji along side esteemed Nadi tribal and government dignitaries including Fijian Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase.

Navutu Stars Resort Fiji is a beautiful new boutique resort located in the Yasawa chain on the island of Yaqeta. Hidden away on 3 secluded bays and stretching over 1 mile of white sandy beach, Navutu stars features 7 absolutely beachfront bures and 2 Grand Bures, especially for honeymooners and romantic escapees.

Each of the 9 Bures have been individually designed and are just beautiful with two sets of French 4 meter wide doors opening onto a large deck with beach access.

Navutu is a place where your mind, body and soul can nourish themselves, where excellent dining, with Italian inspired cuisine, is a priority, where your body indulges in a fusion of the ancient traditions of the art of beauty and massage, and where, of course, you can enjoy one of the most stunning landscapes of the world.

For a romantic escape, a diving holiday, a wedding, or an adults only break, Navutu is a wonderful new addition to the luxury market in a truly magnificent setting.

Talking of old favourites, Castaway Island Resort has announced a very special deal to celebrate their 40th Birthday. Commencing 01 February and continuing until 28 February 2006 Castaway introduces "Castaway February Feast". This special means that for the period of your stay at Castaway in February you are entitled to free meals for the whole stay! That's breakfast, lunch and dinner, every day for as long as you stay. To be eligible for this deal you must book your February stay by November 30, 2005. And don't forget, if you combine a four night stay at Outrigger on the Lagoon with a three night stay at Castaway you will receive a free helicopter transfer from Outrigger to Castaway. This offer is for two persons sharing accommodation at each resort and is a fantastic way to transfer between both resorts.

Eileen in our office has expanded her responsibilities to include Samoa and the Cook Islands. She is the expert on these areas, and she welcomes your call to chat through the holiday options in these beautiful spots:

"Being a Cook Islander and with my partner being from Samoa, it is with pleasure that I am now able to start selling the Cook Islands and Samoa. Both places are fascinating in their own ways.

"The Cook Islands are well known for the beautiful white sandy beaches, friendly people, vibrant culture and dancing - and the feeling that it is an untouched paradise. Air New Zealand and Virgin Blue both fly to the Cooks.

"Samoa is still very laid back and the most beautiful thing about it is the beauty of all the islands, all the different places you can visit and all the wonderful people you can meet. "

Whether it is Fiji, Samoa, The Cook Islands or "the rest of the world" we would love to talk to you about your next holiday. This year we have found that we need to secure accommodation much further ahead than ever before, so we urge you to, if at all possible, plan ahead, particularly for school holiday times so we are able to book your holiday to exactly where you want to go.

Moce until next time.
