Bula and greetings from Fiji Island Tours

Bula and welcome to the Fiji Island Tours Bula Sheet for this month.

We hope that this little taste of Fiji keeps you thinking of a wonderful holiday you may have just returned from, an upcoming holiday, or makes you think that maybe it has been too long since your last trip to the beautiful Fiji Islands. The amazing thing is, there is so much happening in Fiji that we could send you a newsletter almost weekly to keep you fully up to date! But, here’s a selection of Fiji news – and remember, for everything Fiji be in touch.

Baravi SpaLast month we updated you on three luxurious resorts that you can enjoy with your families, Jean Michele Cousteau, Yasawa Island Resort and Turtle Island Resort. All truly beautiful places to vacation with the whole family. Some news just in from Yasawa Island Resort is the opening of their beachfront Spa, Baravi Spa. Drawn from the Fijian word for Beach, the Baravi Spa offers guests a choice of new indulgences from one of Fiji’s most exclusive retreats. Positioned just metres from the ocean’s edge the Spa offers treatments that have been sourced from around the world and adapted with the Fijian sense of warmth and calm.

On the mainland the former Sheraton Royal Denarau has had a major facelift, and has become The Westin Denarau Island Resort and Spa, Fiji. The Westin branding has brought to Fiji a new level of service, style and innovation. The resort’s 271 guestrooms, suites, swimming pool and arrival area have had a complete makeover, and enhancements made to the restaurants and cocktail lounge have created a uniquely different resort at Denarau. While there don’t miss the opportunity to spend some time in the HeavenlySpa. The HeavenlySpa is nestled amidst a 1350m2 lush meditation garden with beautiful lily lagoons and palm trees. Offering the ultimate rejuvenation experience with a unique array of therapies, the spa features eight Fijian style treatment bures and two suites, a Vichi shower treatment room, hydrotherapy room, relaxation area, a 25 metre wet-edge lap pool, whirlpool and, should you suddenly feel active an adjacent WestinWORKOUT area, powered by state of the art Reebok equipment.

The Westin Denarau Island Resort and SpaThe Westin Denarau Island Resort and Spa welcomes children too and has added The Westin Kids’ Club to the resort. Offering a complete range of Children’s facilities and activities including an open air play ground, baby-sitting and kids menu, the resort combines luxury for the adults, and fun for the kids. It really is a premier resort for all the family and if you book before 31 October, 2006 in any room category for travel between 15 October - 24 December exclusively kids will Play, Stay and Eat Free. (note there are conditions, so please talk to us for further details.)

The Christmas bustle has hit us early this year, with supermarkets already displaying Christmas decorations and goodies. Why not leave it all behind and spend your Christmas in Fiji? All the resorts will be doing something special for the Christmas and New Year celebrations, and there is still some availability in Fiji for this fun, fun time of year. The Sofitel Resort and Spa, also on Denarau have special plans - with the highlight being a New Years’ Eve set six course menu at elegant V Restaurant followed by a party that will be “shaking, but not stirred” at Club Sofitel until 2am. It’s a James Bond themed disco - so pack accordingly!

At Castaway Santa will be visiting the resort at about 1030 - Fiji time - and then there will be a special Christmas Buffet luncheon under the Vutu tree. New Years Eve will be a Gala Buffet - and knowing the boys in the band, a night of music and fun guaranteed. Outrigger on the Lagoon will have special menus at all their restaurants, and the Christmas flavour will be shared with all guests - again, expect fun for the full Christmas period. Royal Davui will ease into Christmas, with guests sleeping in - no children to disturb, what bliss. There will then be a Christmas breakfast/brunch with champagne, and then more food in the restaurant for lunch. Guests can choose to dine individually, or put together a large table for much Christmas frivolity. Sounds magnificent to me!
