Santa is getting ready, and it's not too late to tell him that you will be in Fiji on Christmas day experiencing a white Christmas of a different sort. White sandy beaches, hot sunny days, warm tropical nights.
A handful of resorts have limited accomodation available over the Christmas period. Leave home just before Christmas and be settled in your bure ready for a true Christmas treat.
Vomo Island Resort will be hosting Christmas lunch on the beach, under the trees - with dinner, if you can fit any more in, set up around the pool in sparkling candlelight. And until you have heard the Vomo singers sing Christmas Carols, you have not really experienced Carols by Candlelight.
Likuliku Lagoon Fiji has limited availability, but it will be a gourmet feast at Fijiana Restaurant. Start with Christmas Eve dinner looking out over the lagoon, pool and gardens. Christmas Day will be a lunchtime feast, followed by a South Pacific BBQ dinner - where you can eat light - with sushi and sashimi and fresh salads, or indulge in some BBQ delights followed by traditional Christmas puddings.
Other island resorts that have accomodation available are Maravu, Matagi, Koro Sun, Qamea and Taveuni up North. Viwa in the Yasawa Islands, Royal Davui in Beqa Lagoon. Mana, Musket Cove, Plantation, Tokoriki, Treasure all in the Mamancua region. On the Coral Coast Outrigger on the Lagoon, Shangri'La's The Fijian, Hideaway, Naviti, The Warwick all have limited spots for Christmas.
If time is short, fly into Nadi, transfer via private car to Denarau and choose from one of the following resorts which have limited availablity - The Sofitel, Fiji Beach Resort and Spa managed by The Hilton and The Westin all of whom have unique and wonderful Fijian Christmas experiences planned.
If your favourite resort is not listed here then chances are they are booked up for Christmas. Take this opportunity to try something new, you may find a new favourite. Or make a decision, plan ahead and book for Christmas in 2009 - book now and you won't miss out!
