Detailed: Cruise the Yasawa Islands by tall ship on a 3 or 4 day
Barefoot Sail Safari and experience a unique Fiji adventure. Spirit of
the Pacific is a 108ft topsail schooner which sets sail daily from
Drawaqa Barefoot Lodge in the Southern Yasawas. Each day is different;
a new island to explore, a new reef to snorkel, a new adventure every
time you sail.
Drawaqa Barefoot Lodge & Facilities: Your adventure begins at
Captain Cook's Barefoot Lodge on beautiful Drawaqa Island. Boat
transfers operate daily between
Denarau Marina, Nadi and Drawaqa Island. The Lodge offers stunning
coral gardens right off the beach where you can snorkel, kayak, and
swim with the local manta rays; or spend
a few lazy hours alternating between the hammock and lagoon. The
accommodation is traditional, rustic and absolute waterfront - with
just twenty bures accommodating a maximum of forty guests - built and
thatched in traditional style by local villagers. Each bure has two
single beds which can be pushed together if you prefer (linen
supplied).
There is no electricity in the bures and the showers and toilets are
communal (cool fresh water)
Spirit of the Pacific Sail Safaris: From your tropical base
camp, Spirit of the Pacific departs daily on adventure-packed sail
safaris. The tall ship sets a new course every day to islands, reefs
and fishing spots. Go island trekking and visit traditional villages,
learn a little of the sailor's art from our friendly crew or simply
laze on deck. Each evening return to
the Lodge where sunset swims, night fishing tours, Fijian 'lovo'
feasts and nightly entertainment are all part of the fun. The next day
the choice is yours - set sail for a new adventure or set a quieter
course, lazing around the Lodge or exploring beautiful Drawaqa Island.
Inclusions: The Barefoot Sail Safari & Island Lodge nightly
rate includes accommodation, Sail Safaris aboard Spirit of the
Pacific*, all meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), activities and use
of snorkelling equipment & kayaks. Denarau/Drawaqa transfers include
