Maravu is located on Fiji's third largest Island, Taveuni and is
reached aboard a Sunair flight from Nadi International Airport. The
flight takes approximately 80 minutes. Taveuni is renowned for its
pristine beauty, lush landscapes, hidden lakes, waterfalls and
mountains. A truly beautiful area.
Accommodation: Accommodation on Maravu is designed to make you
feel at home. The Bures are spaced apart on the 90 acre resort to
ensure privacy and tranquillity.
Levels of accommodation range from the 4 Planter Bures which are in
duplex units and are ideal for families because of their
interconnecting doors. Deluxe Bures of which there are 3 have a
capacity of 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children under 12 years of age.
These Bures have an ocean view, outside and inside showers, and are a
short walk to Maravu Beach.
Honeymoon Bures feature a private stone walled courtyard with outdoor
shower and Jacuzzi. Perfect for 2 adults these Bures have ocean views
and are just a short walk to the beach. For a honeymoon Maravu does
offer the ultimate accommodation in the Honeymoon Deluxe Suite and
Oceanview Spa Villas.
The Honeymoon Deluxe Suite has 2 rooms, a private open air courtyard
with shower and Jacuzzi and a large open sundeck. The Oceanview Spa
Villa also has 2 rooms, a sundeck and Jacuzzi and offers a stunning
view from all aspects of the Bure. Glass doors facing the seaside can
be opened and folded away to bring the magnificence of the outdoor
right into your Bure.
Adventure: Adventure on Maravu takes into account the beautiful
setting on Taveuni Island. Maravu's staff of 40 will guide you in all
our activities such as horseback riding, snorkelling, mountain biking,
tennis, golf, kayaking, deep sea fishing, world class diving and
guided 4WD tours. Of particular interest are our nature walks where
you can explore plantation towns, and rainforest trails such as Vidawa
Forest Walk and its spectacular bird life. Discover hidden waterfalls
and jungle trails or let our 4WD take you up to the 1200m high Den
Voeux Peak.
