Matamanoa Island Resort Fiji
Matamanoa Island can offer you total relaxation or a wide range of
leisure activities and cultural excursions. Swim in the fresh water
pool, or in the Pacific Ocean, play tennis or sip a cocktail at the
bar as you watch the sun set. Take all the time you need to discover
the magic of this beautiful island.
Accommodation: Matamanoa offers the choice of either
traditional beachfront Bures of Garden View hotel rooms.
Bures, of which there are 20, are of traditional design with thatched
roofs. The trade breeze is caught though louvered windows and all the
Bures have ceiling fans. All Bures have two rooms with ensuite
bathroom and patio. The bedroom has 2 queen size beds and the sitting
room has 2 sofa beds.
13 air conditioned hotel rooms, all set in a line, are nestled amongst
the resorts tropical gardens. Each room has a queen size bed and
outside there is a small patio area with outdoor tables and chair.
Honeymooners: With a no children under 12 policy Matamanoa is
certainly a resort for honeymooners. There will be no disruption to
your peace, privacy and tranquillity. Honeymooners can enjoy the many
activities Matamanoa has to offer - from sailing, snorkelling,
fishing, scuba diving. Or enjoy some cultural experiences such as a
trip to the local village and their shell and pottery market. Or maybe
spend a day sailing on "Seaspray" and visit the island of Modriki,
location of the Tom Hanks movie "Castaway".
Or alternately do nothing at all, but do nothing together! Lie on the
beach, float in the ocean, watch the sunset whilst sipping champagne,
or enjoy a tropical massage on the beach, have a facial, or pedicure
in your bure or room. Doing nothing can be just as rewarding.
