The Island of Qamea (pronounced GAMEAH) lies off Fiji's third largest island, Taveuni and is situated in a totally different Fiji from the better know areas. Accommodation: Eleven Beachfront bures reflect traditional Fijian style with soaring 20' ceilings. Each approximately 650 sq feet offers large bedroom and sitting areas. Outdoor showers feature local riverstones. Large covered veranda with comfortable furniture and hammock and offer dramatic and unobstructed views of the ocean and glorious sunsets. One Honeymoon Bure of 1200 sq feet is a stunning split level design offering total privacy.

Activities: The waters around Qamea Island are renown for some of the best soft coral scuba diving anywhere, whilst the nearby Somosomo Strait offers dramatic cliffs notably the Great White Wall and Devil's Canyon. Off the beach sailing and snorkelling together with dramatic waterfalls, hikes to see the unique tagimoucea flower atop Fiji's second largest mountain. Village visits and island hopping are also a feature.

Weddings: Qamea offers an exquisite location for a small and private wedding OR you may wish to include a full Fijian flavour with traditional clothing, Fijian warrior escort and traditional island dancing and feast. The island will advise of any special requirements.
