Yasawa Island Resort Fiji

The only resort on the most northern part of this island chain. Yasawa Island is some 20 kms long (N-S) and sports arguably the very best beaches in all of Fiji. This is splendid isolation with just the sounds of the waves and a gentle sea breeze mingled with the sounds of island music.

Accommodation: The resort nestles in a bay with 18 bures including "Lomalagi" the honeymoon bure set apart from the main resort.

Each bure (Fijian for sanctuary) is superbly fitted in contemporary Fijian style and is air conditioned with open air shower set on a screened sundeck. Lomalagi (Fijian for heaven) is supreme amongst Yasawas Bures. With its extensive sundeck over looking the beach, this is Yasawa at its very best

Activities: At Yasawa, the horizon pool overlooks the beach where once a week a Lovo feast (traditional underground over) and island Meke (dance festival) are held. Scuba diving and deep-sea fishing provide fresh supplies for the chef, tennis and island village/village visits. Sunday night singing by the village choir is unforgettable. Choose from any of 14 beaches for private picnics -or visit limestone caves - sail a catamaran or sailboard - as if all this is too much, enjoy an aware winning cocktail and sample Yasawas magnificent secrets.

Weddings: A sunset wedding at Yasawa Island Resort is a unique experience. The blending of the island atmosphere with western customs creates an environment never forgotten. Weddings are arranged to coincide with the wishes of the couple and usually include the other guests who contribute to the festivities.
